Zarina Suárez O’Hagin was ordained a deacon in the Episcopal Church in Chicago in 1998. She currently serves as deacon at St. John’s in the Mountains Episcopal Church in Stowe Vermont. She was a member of the Diocesan Commission on Ministry from 2002 through 2008.
Zarina was a member of the Legal Advisory Panel of the ACLU of Vermont from 2000 through 2006, and was member of its Board for three years.
After arriving in Vermont, Zarina became a certified emergency medical technician (EMT-B), and served on Hardwick Rescue Squad from 2001 through 2008.
Zarina served on the board of Copley Hospital in Morrisville, Vermont for three years.
Zarina enjoys gardening, both flower and vegetable, and vegetarian cooking.
She lives in Walden with her son Arec, her dog Bear, and her cats Guadalupe and Creemee.
